Boston Takes Game 1 in Overtime Thriller
Brown, Tatum Lead Celtics to 2-0 Lead
The Boston Celtics escaped with a 133-128 overtime win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of the 2024 Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday night.
Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with a game-high 40 points, while Jayson Tatum added 37 points and 11 rebounds. Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 28 points and 12 assists.
The game was tied at 118 at the end of regulation, and the Pacers led by as many as six points in overtime before the Celtics rallied.
The Celtics will now host the Pacers in Game 2 on Tuesday night before the series shifts to Indiana for Games 3 and 4 on Friday and Sunday.
